How to read, subscribe, write, and get unstuck — and every way to reach a human. For the short answers, see the FAQ.

Reading.

Do I need an account to read?

No. Everything published on StormIt is free to read without an account. A free reader account adds saves and comments — you can create one from Sign in whenever you want it.

How do I find something specific?

Use Search for anything, browse the full archive, or start from Guides if you want a structured series rather than a single piece.

Can I follow StormIt without another app?

Yes — the RSS feed carries everything we publish, and The Letter brings the week's best to your inbox every Saturday.

The Letter.

What is The Letter, exactly?

One handpicked piece, three small things, and a reading list — sent once every Saturday, free. Sign up at /letter.

How do I unsubscribe?

Every edition has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. It works immediately, no questions asked.

Writing for StormIt.

How do I pitch?

Start at Write on StormIt — send the pitch form or email hello@stormit.ca with “Pitch” in the subject.

I've already written the piece.

Email it to writeyourstorm@stormit.ca — paste it in or attach a document. No account needed; the team reads every submission.

Who owns what I write?

You do. StormIt takes a publication license, not your copyright — the plain-language terms are in the Writer Agreement.

Something's wrong.

A page is broken or something looks off.

Email hello@stormit.ca with the page link and what you expected — screenshots help. We read everything.

I found a factual error in an article.

Tell us at hello@stormit.ca with “Correction” in the subject. How corrections are handled is described in our editorial standards.

I need to reach the right inbox directly.
